The Glamping Hay Loft

The Hay Loft is an ideal ‘Family/Romantic Adventure Glamping’ getaway that is a step up from camping without getting silly. This self catering accommodation offers secure, wind and rain proof glamping style adventure in this beautiful part of Wales.

The hay loft is a large open plan space, with the main double bed (comprising two single mattresses, making super king size) located at the far end in the style of a four poster, with an additional two separate single beds/mattresses that double up as seating, plus central coffee table. Fitted with two roof windows (Velux) for plenty of natural light and ventilation when required and great star gazing potential, complete with blackout blinds. 

There is a wood burning stove offering heating and stove top cooking, we set the fire prior to guests arrival in the colder months so it is ready to light, any subsequent firewood is available at £5 per bag/box. In addition there is an electric panel radiator at the main bed end on a countdown timer, for that bit extra.

The garden space to the front of the hay loft and our surrounding fields is for guests use, with allocated parking for one or two vehicles available alongside the building. There are 6 stone steps leading up to the door with rim lock fitted so guests can secure their belongings whilst out. Accommodation offers plenty of twin electric sockets for charging phones and tablets, plus there is also wifi (free). The hardstanding and low walls to the side of the steps leading up to the hay loft (see photo), offers guests the opportunity to set up their camping stove or barbecue in a relatively sheltered spot. There is also a fire pit in the fields beside the river for impromptu barbecues when the weather allows. An outside tap located in the courtyard area is available for drinking water.

Bathroom facilities are private and situated via a short outside walk to the wet room located on the ground floor to the rear of the outbuilding, which we have recently repainted the floor in the shower area. We have also added in the Hay Loft a fridge (with small freezer compartment), combination oven (microwave, grill & oven) and a two ring electric induction hob and a toaster for improved self catering services, plus pots and pans of course.

Recently upgraded wifi so the Hay Loft has its own access point and speeds up to 75 Mbps, just waiting for ‘WeFibre’ to come to town for even faster download speeds.
